Educational games for small children

Gcompris offers a large collection of educational games for small children, designed to be a unified interface to integrate more educational games. Language-oriented games contain vocabulary, sounds, and voices for many different languages. Currently available boards include:

learning how to use a mouse and keyboard
learning simple arithmetic
learning how to read an analog clock
recognize letters after hearing their names
reading practice
small games (memory games, jigsaw puzzles, ...)

Installation

Install the latest version of gcompris-qt as follows:

guix install gcompris-qt

Or install a particular version:

guix install gcompris-qt@4.1

You can also install packages in augmented, pure or containerized environments for development or simply to try them out without polluting your user profile. See the guix shell documentation for more information.
