chafa

Convert images to ANSI/Unicode characters

Chafa is a command-line utility that converts all kinds of images, including animated GIFs, into ANSI/Unicode character output that can be displayed in a terminal.

Installation

Install the latest version of chafa as follows:

guix install chafa

Or install a particular version:

guix install chafa@1.14.0

You can also install packages in augmented, pure or containerized environments for development or simply to try them out without polluting your user profile. See the guix shell documentation for more information.
