emacs-tramp

Remote file editing package for Emacs

Tramp stands for ``Transparent Remote (file) Access, Multiple Protocol''. This package provides remote file editing, using a combination of rsh and rcp or other work-alike programs, such as ssh and scp.

Installation

Install the latest version of emacs-tramp as follows:

guix install emacs-tramp

Or install a particular version:

guix install emacs-tramp@2.7.2.2

You can also install packages in augmented, pure or containerized environments for development or simply to try them out without polluting your user profile. See the guix shell documentation for more information.
