man-db

Standard Unix documentation system

Man-db is an implementation of the standard Unix documentation system accessed using the man command. It uses a Berkeley DB database in place of the traditional flat-text whatis databases.

Installation

Install the latest version of man-db as follows:

guix install man-db

Or install a particular version:

guix install man-db@2.12.0

You can also install packages in augmented, pure or containerized environments for development or simply to try them out without polluting your user profile. See the guix shell documentation for more information.
