python-pyzbar

Read one-dimensional barcodes and QR codes

Read one-dimensional barcodes and QR codes using the zbar library.

Features:

  • Pure python

  • Works with PIL / Pillow images, OpenCV / numpy ndarrays, and raw bytes

  • Decodes locations of barcodes

  • No dependencies, other than the zbar library itself

Installation

Install the latest version of python-pyzbar as follows:

guix install python-pyzbar

Or install a particular version:

guix install python-pyzbar@0.1.8

You can also install packages in augmented, pure or containerized environments for development or simply to try them out without polluting your user profile. See the guix shell documentation for more information.
