squid

Web caching proxy

Squid is a caching proxy for the Web supporting HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and more. It reduces bandwidth and improves response times by caching and reusing frequently-requested web pages.

Installation

Install the latest version of squid as follows:

guix install squid

Or install a particular version:

guix install squid@6.12

You can also install packages in augmented, pure or containerized environments for development or simply to try them out without polluting your user profile. See the guix shell documentation for more information.
